The Bolshoi Ballet perform Romeo and Juliet


STREAMED live from the internationally renown Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, ballet enthusiasts can watch a performance of Romeo and Juliet on Sunday afternoon, May 12, at Ely Maltings cinema.

Marketing manager of ADeC, Caroline Cawley, said: “Ely Cinema is delighted to welcome back our live broadcasts from the Bolshoi Ballet.

“ This performance is a revival of Yuri Grigorovich’s acclaimed 1978 production, featuring outstanding choreography, sumptuous costumes and some of the composer’s most lyrical music.”

The iconic ballet by Sergei Prokofiev is based on William Shakespeare’s romantic play Romeo and Juliet.
