CHILDREN who want to take part in Ely’s first professional pantomime this Christmas are being invited to attend auditions this spring.

KD Theatre Productions - who will stage 35 performances of Jack and the Beanstalk at Ely Maltings - are looking for youngsters aged between six and 13 to make up three groups of panto babes.

Director Daniel Bell said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to get involved in a professional production. They will get to perform alongside professionally trained actors in a production worthy of West End quality.

“ Experience isn’t necessary, we are looking for young enthusiastic children, and a big smile doesn’t go a miss!”

The children will sing and dance during the show that runs from December 26 until January 14.

Although Jack and the Beanstalk will be Ely’s first professional pantomime, KD Theatre Productions have a wealth of experience in productions and working with young people, having produced shows in their home town of Soham and world renowned festivals such as The Edinburgh Fringe.

The auditions take place on Sunday May 26 at The Maltings in Ely, from 2.30pm to 5.30pm. To register your place at the audition, please email info@kdtheatre.co.uk or call Daniel on 07449884413.
