Throughout half term week at Oliver Cromwell’s House in Ely, take part in The Savage 17th Century Guided Tour (and all it’s horrid bits).

‘Professor A Bismal’ will be providing guided tours revealing and revelling in “the bits teachers are too grossed out to tell you.

“Discover the awful origins of a favourite playground poem, be disturbed by the tales of a long dead head and it’s life after death and if you’re very lucky, the Professor will share his favourite recipes with you,” say organisers.

The tours, in which children must be accompanied by an adult, run from Monday 13 to Friday 17 February and start at 2pm each day.

Tickets, which cost £4 each, can be booked by calling 01353 662062 or online at www.olivercromwellshouse.co.uk
