The band will now play several European festivals before returning to concentrate on finishing their third album.

FOLLOWING a triumphant warm-up gig in London and come-back show at this year’s Download Festival, The Darkness are back on the road making a stop-off in Cambridge at the end of the year. The band still has the original line-up of flamboyant front-man Justin Hawkins, Dan Hawkins, Frankie Poullain and Ed Graham and this is their first tour since 2005. When the band released their debut album Permission to Land in 2003 they exploded into the UK consciousness with a fresh and exciting sound, look and attitude. Playing every show as if they were headlining at Wembley Stadium they embraced the classic rock sounds of the 70s and 80s and gave it a unique update sound for the 21st Century. Countless chart hits follows, as did three Brit awards and millions of album sales and sold-out tours before they called it a day in 2006.

The band will now play several European festivals before returning to concentrate on finishing their third album.

INFO: The Darkness are playing at the Cambridge Corn Exchange on November 20. Tickets are on sale now for £25 and available from the box office on 01223 357851.
