European Union Chamber Orchestra and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra to perform at Cambridge Corn Exchange

The European Union Chamber Orchestra and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra will perform the last two dates of the 2017/18 Cambridge classical concert series.
The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra will be at the venue on January 18 with Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla (conductor) and Ning Feng on violin.
The concert will feature Haydn’s Symphony No. 7 (Le Midi), Bruch’s Scottish Fantasy and Bartok’s Concerto for Orchestra.
A pre-concert talk, starting at 6pm, will take place at Heffers Bookshop, free of charge to concert ticket holders.
The European Union Chamber Orchestra performance is on February 20. Opening with Handel’s Suite Water Music, the concert features BBC Young Musician of the Year, Sheku Kanneh-Mason, performing Haydn’s Cello Concerto No. 1 in C, as well as Delius’ Two Aquarelles and Mozart’s Symphony No. 29, which will be conducted by Hans-Peter Hofmann.
Ahead of the 7.30pm concert, there is a pre-concert talk at 6pm at Millers Music Shop, in Sussex Street, and this is free to concert ticket holders.
