Dr Ward - the daughter of former head of Ely King’s School, Hubert Ward - has just written Why Rousseau was Wrong: Christianity and the Secular Soul, and the audience to the event in the bookshop on Thursday February 28 will have the chance to get into a debate with one of the foremost theological philosophers of our time.
Two days earlier, Jim Crace will be at the shop to promote his new novel, Harvest, which is a bracing story of a lost and unsettling English world.
Both these events are at 7.30pm, and entry vouchers, that can be redeemed against the cost of the authors’ books, cost £5 if collected in advance and £6 on the day.
