Dr Ward - the daughter of former head of Ely King’s School, Hubert Ward - has just written Why Rousseau was Wrong: Christianity and the Secular Soul, and the audience to the event in the bookshop on Thursday February 28 will have the chance to get into a debate with one of the foremost theological philosophers of our time.
Two days earlier, Jim Crace will be at the shop to promote his new novel, Harvest, which is a bracing story of a lost and unsettling English world.
Both these events are at 7.30pm, and entry vouchers, that can be redeemed against the cost of the authors’ books, cost £5 if collected in advance and £6 on the day.
Crime novelist Elly Griffiths will be a St Peter’s Church in Ely at 7.30pm on Tuesday March 5. Her latest work, Dying Fall is set on the North Norfolk coast and again features forensics expert Ruth Galloway. Entry vouchers for this event cost £7 in advance and £6 on the day.
