TELEVISION presenter and author Evan Davis is to appear at Ely Cathedral next month to talk about his new book Made in Britain.

The event has been organised by Topping & Company Booksellers in Ely and the Ely Standard has teamed up with the bookshop in High Street to offer three pairs of tickets to three lucky readers.

Made in Britain looks at the state of Britain, particularly how we pay our way in the world today. From manufacturing to technology, design and the services industries, this book will provide a cutting edge analysis, via its entertaining stories, about what we make and why it matters. Davis explains that we don’t have to be prejudiced in favour of certain types of value and we shouldn’t assume finance is modern and manufacturing is out of date.

He says: “What matters is what sells and for much,”.

Evan Davis will talk about his new book, Made in Britain at Ely Cathedral on June 16. Doors open at 6.45pm for a 7.30pm start. INFO: Tickets are 7 and 8, which includes a voucher for money off the book should you wish to purchase a copy at the end of the night.
