Jones became famous for his breath-taking cover version of Walking In The Air, the song from the 1982 Channel Four film The Snowman, which is based on the Raymond Briggs book of the same name.

The recording reached Number 5 in the UK charts in 1985 and propelled Jones to stardom. The singer has continued to perform ad record classical and choral music at the highest levels. In 2004, he graced television screens once again in the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
