The film, which is directed, filmed and produced by Deborah Curtis, Jennifer Stevens and Peter Harmer, focuses on Fenland life at the turn of the last century and is the result of painstaking research and local story gathering. Common Ground has been filmed over eight months in various locations in Littleport and Wicken Fen.

Director Deborah Curtis said: “We have been delighted with the response to this film project. We have been so lucky to have had so many people coming forward to take part. Our cast and crew have carried this project forward on a wave of good humour, enthusiasm and professionalism.”

The Field Theatre Group is hosting a weekend of screenings and a photographic exhibition at Littleport Village Hall. The event is part of the 2012 Open Festivals Weekend and the village hall will be transformed into a cinema for the occasion.
