Natacha Atlas and a five-piece band will perform material from ‘Myriad Road’ and preview tracks from her forthcoming album at the Cambridge Junction this weekend.
The captivating and hypnotic singer from North Africa entwines tribal beats with blusey cool Afro-funk. She is famed for her collaborations with Transglobal Underground, Nitin Sawhney, David Arnold and Jah Wobble.
Her latest offering, ‘Myriad Road’, saw her combining creative forces once again. This time with one of France’s most eminent jazz musicians, Ibrahim Maalouf – the highly-garlanded Lebanese-born French jazz and classical trumpeter, producer, and composer – to produce her first jazz album.
The concert takes place in J2 on Saturday February 10. Doors 7pm.
