ELY songwriter Will Law is launching his new single during a performance at The Babylon Gallery in Ely tonight (Fri) at 7pm.

The single by Just William and the Outlaws is called It’s a Long Long Way to Tennessee, and comes hot on the heels of an EP the 20-year-old recorded earlier this year.

Will describes his style of music as acoustic folk rock and country and says he is influenced by heavily by 50s and 60s artists including Bob Dylan and The Beatles.

Will said: “I wrote the single about two years ago, and recorded it at two studios, The Hub in Cambridge and Half Tom in Milton. This is what I have been working towards for a long time. It has the backing of a full band, and I am very pleased with what it sounds like.”

At the gig on Friday, Will will be supported by Grace Sarah, and Zak Thomas.

The single can be downloaded from Will’s website, or from ITunes.

Tickets for the single launch cost £5, and are available from www.adec.org.uk or 01353 616991.
