Ely & District Model Railway Club has a brand new clubroom and is on the lookout for new members.

The club has moved into a newly converted clubroom near Ely which has allowed it to build two new exhibition layouts.

Westgate Park, a 20ft long ‘N’ gauge layout, is mostly operational and work will soon start on scenery and buildings.

Wickham Market, the club’s new ‘OO’ gauge layout, will become the successor to the current exhibition layout, Thurston. It’s fully wired and work has started on scenery and buildings. Members model in a variety of scales.

There are club meetings on Tuesday evenings and additionally at other times.

The club also organises an annual exhibition in Ely every May. This year’s exhibition takes place on Saturday, May 16, at Ely College, from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

Anyone over 18 interested in joining can visit to see if they like it.
