This show revelled in those rock tunes that we love including ‘Radio Ga Ga’, ‘Break Free’ and ‘I Want It All’.

The singing was of a very high standard and it was easy for us to relate to the tunes as we heard them in Top of the Pops many years ago.

The dancing was wonderful - inspired by the visit of Nikki Dyer who had been in the production of this show in the West End.

It was excellent and every participant on the packed stage had a whale of a time and so did we.

The characters were highly believable. A voluptuous master woman, Killer Queen, played by Ellen Davis, left us in do doubt who was the evil boss.

The young rebels in search of rhapsody had some credible repartee. Scamaramouche (Amy Davis) especially, gave some wonderful beautifully-timed retorts.

The other characters also drew us into the story wonderfully Galileo (Hayden Forbes), Meat Loaf (Maddie Guy-Pinkney), Britney Spears (Zak Potts), Kashoggie (Jacob Stoodley), Pop (Rhiannon Kelly), Teacher (Rhapsody Rolf), Cop (Theo Mulhall) and Doctor (Rhys Steyn).

What made this show was the host of young dancers – one as young as six - who synchronised their actions beautifully with smiles and well-practised movements.

With the’ Ga Ga Girls’, the ‘Bohemians’ and the ‘Junior Ensemble’ the stage was set for a rousing performance.

A mass of energised dancers kept us spellbound with their passion, vigour and well choreographed actions. Choreographers Chloe Jones, Bethany Pearson and Issy Pearson knew their job.

This highly energised, colourful production was yet another amazing success by this impressive company. Congratulations to director Jessica Theobald and her team.
