A PARADE of floats led by the gala queen and princesses will get Isleham Gala off to a great start on Saturday July 6.
The parade leaves East Road/The Causeway at 1pm, and makes its way through the village to the recreation ground where an action packed afternoon awaits.
There will be a wide range of stalls and craft tables, and the competition tent is likely to be the biggest yet. There will be a grand draw at 5pm.
The floats will be judged, with the winners receiving £100, the runners up £75, and third placed float will be presented with £50. All entries receive £15.
Refreshments supplied by Newmarket and District Youth for Christ and T4Free will be available, and there will be a beer tent and barbecue.
To book a stall, float or place in the grand parade, ring Barbara Murfitt on 01638 780373.
*There is also a fun dog show during the afternoon, with 15 classes including Mr and Mrs Isleham, fancy dress and best crossbreed. It costs £1.50 to enter each class, contact Jackie Palmer 07939 003681.
