Smash hit musical comedy Hairspray comes to the Cambridge Corn Exchange next week
Guaranteed to have you dancing the night away, the new production stars Benidorm’s Tony Maudsley as Edna Turnblad, Chicago’s Claire Sweeney as Velma Von Tussle, Blue Peter’s Peter Duncan as Wilbur Turnblad and We Will Rock You’s Brenda Edwards as Motormouth Maybelle.
Set in 1960’s Baltimore, Hairspray follows Tracy Turnblad, ‘a big girl with big hair and an even bigger heart, on a mission to follow her dreams and dance her way onto national TV’.
Hairspray runs from Monday 15 to Saturday 20 February for a range of 2.30pm and 7.30pm performances.
Tickets; ranging from £29.50 to £40, are available from www.cambridgelivetrust.co.uk or by calling 01223 357851
