MODEL trains and kite making are on the programme for Father’s Day at the Denny Abbey Farmland Museum.
Visitors are invited to bring along a picnic or visit the Docky Box Team Room on Sunday June 16.
Museum manager Ann Wise said: “Treat dad to a visit to the Farmland Museum - volunteers will be running some of the engines, there will be model trains and the whole family are invited to make a kite, and we are adding to the programme all the time.”
The museum is open from 10.30am to 5pm, and normal admission prices apply.
* On Saturday June 15, the museum is hosting a mixed media one-day workshop for adults. Taking inspiration from the museum site, participants will learn how to bring their water colour pictures to life with a range of classic and modern experimental techniques. Tutored by artist Ann Biggs, the workshop is suitable for beginners and improvers. Workshop fee is £27 - booking is essential; contact the museum - 01223 860988 (email: info@farmlandmuseum.org.uk)
Denny Abbey is on the A10 between Stretham and Waterbeach. For more information: www.farmlandmuseum.org.uk
