If you’ve not yet seen the brilliant Florence Foster Jenkins, this weekend you can catch it at Ely Cinema.
In 1909, at the age of 41, Florence received an inheritance that enabled her to realise her operatic ambitions, blithely undeterred by her own inability to sing in tune – and the big screen retelling is instantly loveable.
It screens at the cinema on Sunday 12 and Wednesday 15 from 7.30pm each night.
Tickets can be booked by calling the Babylon ARTS box office on 01353 616991, visiting www.babylonarts.org.uk or in-person from Burrows Bookshop and the Babylon Gallery.
