James MacMillan’s St Luke Passion will be performed at St John’s College Chapel in Cambridge on Saturday March 18.
Fairhaven Singers, conducted by Ralph Woodward, will lead the concert with the East Anglia Chamber Orchestra, Stephen Perse Foundation Chamber Choir and St Catharine’s College Girls’ Choir.
“The majestic chapel of St John’s College is the perfect venue for this collaboration with the East Anglia Chamber Orchestra and two superb local girls’ choirs. Come and hear St Luke’s narration of the Passion story clothed in music of unforgettable drama and searing intensity,” said Liesbeth Blom-Smith, of the Fairhaven Singers.
