Bookworms were in their element when local authors gathered for a mini Literary festival and book fair at the Adams Heritage Centre in Littleport.

The event included children’s storytelling sessions and talks from local authors Michael Rouse, Deborah Curtis and Siobhan Carew.

The book sale had a wide variety of locally produced publications and second hand titles being sold.

Ms Curtis is the author of Land Lines, a real and imagined journey through vivid Fenscapes.

Ms Carew has written a number of fiction books, her latest being Cambridge Red, a crime novel that draws the reader into life in Cambridge and Mr Rouse is a well-known local personality and author.

Two of his recent books include Fens End and The Ghosts of Fens End while Mrs Westwell has written the novel John, Dementia and Me a story based on her relationship with her husband as he slowly develops dementia.

The next event will be on November 1 and 2 with Field of War, a community performance in Littleport Village Hall at 7.30 pm with an additional matinee performance at 2pm on November 2.
