FANS of baroque music get a treat next month, when the early music duo Aurora makes a return to Oliver Cromwell’s House in Ely.

Maria Sanger, playing the recorder, and Dawn Johnston playing therobo and baroque guitar will present a programme of infectious baroque music performed in the atmospheric setting of the wood panelled Tithe Office.

The lively 50-minute concert includes dance music for and by English and continental music loves, from the late 16th to the early 18th centuries, performed on a variety of recorders, accomapnied by the baroque guitar and the magnificent bass lute, the theorbo.

Because seating is limited, the concert is being performed twice on Sunday March 3, at 2pm and again at 3pm. Tickets cost £10.
