THE classic Shakespeare tragedy Hamlet is being performed by Ely Amateur Dramatic Society next week, the first major production for the society’s 125th anniversary year.
The curtain goes up for the first time on Wednesday February 13, and the show runs until Saturday February 16, at Needhams Hall, Ely College, starting at 7.30pm..
Chris Hudson is playing Hamlet, with Doug Stuart as Horatio, Fiona Gilbert as Gertrude and Richard Dodd as Claudius.
The cast also includes Lisa Bushell, Nick Timmings, Matt Harvey, David Palmer, Anthony Sully and Tony Ransome with a strong supporting company.
