SIX textile artists from Stitch Links have their work on show at The Babylon Gallery in Ely until July 1.
The women work together as a collective, to produce a contemporary body of work that reflects on modern life.
The exhibition is called ‘Reworking The Image’. Although the artists have a common interest in textile art, they work in a diversity of styles, ranging from large scale installations, to sculpture, small and intimate pieces, and colourful hand and machine-embroidery.
The Stitch Links exhibition held at the gallery two years ago drew more than 3,000 visitors, and organisers anticipate a lot of interest in the new work.
In addition to the work on display, there is an eye-catching collection of cushions and other small textile items for sale in the gallery shop, which have been designed especially for this show.
