The Almonry Kitchen, run by Cambridge Dining Co., has quickly established itself as a favourite among both locals and tourists, noted for its refined take on café dining.
Situated within the grounds of Ely Cathedral, the café has undergone a significant transformation following a renovation project.
With a menu that puts a contemporary twist on traditional favourites, dishes like crab cakes and green bean salad as well as a local bacon chop with a Manor Farm fried egg.
Every dish champions fresh, seasonal produce and celebrates carefully sourced local ingredients.
Open six days a week and located just off Ely High Street, The Almonry Kitchen offers a welcoming respite in a historical setting.
Alongside the main menu, guests can choose from a variety of home-baked cakes and desserts.
The café is also known for its handmade sausage rolls, seasonal soups, freshly baked scones, and traditional afternoon tea.
The Almonry Kitchen also provides a variety of unique spaces for guests: from a candlelit undercroft, to a bright, renovated garden room.

Following the success of last year’s Sunday Lunch service event, weekly Sunday Lunches will officially launch at The Almonry Kitchen from the 15th February.
Guests can look forward to a carefully crafted menu featuring seasonal starters, traditional roast meats with all the trimmings and indulgent desserts, all prepared in-house by the talented kitchen team.
