TWO voices from the past will be performing at The Apex in Bury St Edmunds during March, and are bound to stir up some great memories for the audience.
Lead singer with Dr Hook, Dennis Locorriere, will be performing some of the old hits, including Sylvia’s Mother and When You’re In Love With A Beautiful Woman when he appears on stage on March 8.
Another blast from the past is Judie Tzuke, who will sing on 29th March. Since the early 1970s, Judie has become well known for her incredible writing talents with hits including Stay With Me Till Dawn. She returns with a collection of cleverly constructed melodies - new and old - sung with an ethereal voice which stuns with its power.
Home Service, declared Best Live Act at the BBC Folk Awards 2012 will be playing on March 30, and a Johnny Cash tribute show, fronted by singer/songwriter Clive John will perform on March 9.
Classical music lovers will appreciate pianist Noriko Ogawa’s programme on March 7, which includes music by Liszt and Mozart, and on March 27, one of the UK’s leading chamber orchestras, Manchester Camerata, will present work by Mendelssohn, Mozart and Haydn.
