Cambridge Philharmonic will perform at Bluebeard’s Castle later this month.
Described by conductor Tim Redmond as “one of the towering works of the 20th Century,” is a thrilling, dark, psychologically moving story that reminds us to be extremely careful what we wish for.
Based on an original fairy tale by Charles Perrault, it tells the story of newlyweds Bluebeard and Judith as they return to his castle after their marriage.
The concert takes place on Saturday May 21.
Tickets; £12 to £25 (students and under-18s £10 on the door) available from www.cambridgelivetrust.co.uk or www.cam-phil.org.uk
