SOHAM and Haddenham both shipped own goals in the first quarter of the match.

Haddenham took the lead after nine minutes when a cross from Josh Lowe was met with a sliced clearance which beat the Soham 'keeper.

The visitors hit back with good work down the flanks to earn themselves a corner, and this was deflected in by Haddenham player at the near post for the equaliser.

Lewis Nunn then put United in front, but Matt Wright equalised for Haddenham in the third quarter.

Both teams came close to snatching victory in the last quarter, but in the end a draw was the right result.

Haddenham Man of the Match was Charlie Tunnell.

SOHAM opened the scoring with a power shot from Alistair Hutchison, but Mildenhall came out all-guns blazing in the second half and soon equalised.

The Colts re-grouped however, and Jordy Turpin's strike was headed in by Hutchison to give him and the team their second goal before Kieran Fuller made it 3-1.

Mildenhall never gave up and the game was end-to-end with Soham 'keeper Connor Cotterill having to keep his defence disciplined and well-organised in a thrilling encounter.

LITTLEPORT gained some early season revenge against a strong Eaton Socon side with a hard-earned draw.

'Port started slowly and found themselves three down inside the first 15 minutes, but steely determination helped them pull a goal back just before half-time through Colt Harvey.

In the second half Port struck again through Harvey and Harlee Cater to make it 3-3, whilst at the other end their defence held firm to secure a point.

Stretham fought back from two goals down to take all three points against a determined Bar Hill Side, with goals from George Carroll (4) and Greg Hine giving the home side victory.

This would not have been possible without first class performances from all 14 players involved however. In difficult conditions Stretham tried to play good football and in the end got the the result their efforts deserved.

ISLEHAM hosted top of the league Haverhill, going behind early on despite making a bright start to the match.

They equalised through Jordan Theobald however, and it remained 1-1 at the interval.

William Ellis impressed in the home defence, but Haverhill finally took the lead again after the ball ran loose following a great save from goalkeeper Jack Leigh.

Isleham did their best back into the game but Haverhill went onto score twice more.

Under-14

Ely Crusaders 1 Histon Hornets B 2

IN the first half of this cup semi-final Ely were the stronger team, with numerous chances going begging.

It was Histon who broke the deadlock early in the second half, and they struck again to establish a two-goal lead.

Ely then showed their grit and determination with some good passing out of defence, and Ryan Lowe managed to pull one back before the finish.
