WITCHAM'S revival continued at the weekend as they powered past Granta III by 66 runs.
Sent in to bat first, Witcham recovered from a shaky to start to power their way to 227-5 from their 40 overs. Tyler Phillips (57*) and S Cooper (45) led the way for the home side who have found their form once more with the bat after a recent dip in form.
With more than 200 to defend, Witcham were able to bowl with confidence and soon had the visitors in trouble as early wickets tumbled. A brief middle-order flurry threatened to spoil the party for Witcham but any worries proved premature as the home side cleaned up the tail for just 61.
Chris Steel (4-10) and Tyler Phillips (3-16) preformed admirably to take the plaudits with the ball.
