FOOTBALL fans in East Cambridgeshire suffered another barren weekend as heavy rain put paid to fixtures for both Ely City and Soham Town Rangers.
Inclement weather has plagued football fixtures in 2010 and the elements took their toll once more on Saturday as Soham's match against Aylesbury fell foul of the heavy rain.
The Greens would have been looking for a comfortable win against the league's bottom side, but will now have to wait until later in the season for the re-arranged fixture.
There was similar news for Ely meanwhile, as their trip to Norwich United was called off mid-morning thanks to a waterlogged pitch.
The Robins next match is scheduled for this weekend where they will face Woodbridge Town. Soham meanwhile, will host Biggleswade on Tuesday.
