AN in-form Ely City side travel to Wivenhoe Town on Saturday looking to pick up their third league victory in succession.

Denis Lightning's men have been in fine fettle in recent weeks and only one league loss in their last five games has seen them climb into 12th place, some 18 points clear of bottom side, Haverhill.

In the corresponding fixture which took place back in August, Wivenhoe came from behind to pick up a 2-1 victory at the Unwin with a goal from Russell Flitton not enough to avoid the loss.

The Robins' opponents Wivenhoe meanwhile, come into the game with only one win in their last 10 league games and currently sit three points behind Ely in 16th place.

Damaged ankle ligaments mean Robbie Mason remains a doubt for the Robins while they will also be without midfielder Mark Johnston who has left the club to return to Sawston United.
