ALAN Alsop said his side were unlucky not to take all three points against high flyers Wroxham on Tuesday night.
The Robins were in control for large parts of the match according to the City manager and were only a slice of luck away from the win they deserved.
“It was a good result for us but I thought we deserved the win,” said Alsop. “We dominated the game at stages and played some good football. I thought we matched them in all departments.

“We defended superbly and Adam Murray didn’t give them a sniff all game, the whole team player really well.”
The point keeps the Robins in 16th place and just six points from breaking into the top half of the table.
Both sides had a couple of half-chances in the first half but it was largely a midfield battle as both sides vied for control. Ely’s new midfielder Josh Bridgeman made his debut after signing from Cottenham and boss Alsop said the youngster acquitted himself well in his first outing at step five.
The Robins opted to push men forward in the second half and the move appeared to pay dividends as the home side took control.
Nick Impey went close to grabbing a winner for the Robins late on but his shot from close range was beaten away by the Wroxham keeper Scott Howie for a corner.
Howie then produced another point-blank save to deny Ely again from the resulting corner following a scramble in the area.
