The Vikings were seldom out of control in the keenly contested derby match as a flurry of early goals saw them shoot out to an unassailable lead.
A strong first-half performance saw Ely thunder out of the blocks and pick up a 10-1 lead going in at the break. Having established the hefty advantage the Vikings coasted their second-half and went on to win comfortably.
Loes Versteegh was Vikings' top scorer with four goals, while Laura Matthews, Sarah Graves and Olly Watts each scored hat-tricks. Jonathan Smith and Andy Dunlop pitched in with a score a piece to complete the rout.
Meanwhile, in the Midlands Regional League, Vikings picked up two battling wins in London. They beat Phoenix by 11 goals to five in a physical match, before going on to play against Highbury immediately afterwards. Although taking an early lead, Vikings found themselves 7-3 down in the second half, but managed to battle back to 10-10 before Rob Wootton scored a last minute long-range winner to seal the match for Vikings. Vikings' top scorer on the day was Chris Brown, who scored seven goals over the two games.
