Victories keep on coming for Haddenham boxers

IT was another winning weekend for the young boxers of Haddenham and Ely ABC as they competed at events across the region.

Heavyweight Mutt Tumber, 23, added to his gold medal-winning performance last week with a comfortable points victory at a show in Cambridge.

Tumber packs a viscous short left hand and used it to good effect against Shane McAndrew as he had him on the canvas three times on the way to victory.

James Warren, 14, picked up a points victory on the road at Dagenham ABC to go with his gold medal and there was also a win for 16-year-old Jack Halls in the CYP Championships as he was granted a bye through to the Midlands Region finals on October 23.

Halls, Warren and Joe Carter will all be in action on Saturday as they take part in a show at Wisbech ABC.
