During the first half the Cherry Hinton defence was very busy, needing to clear off the line on numerous occasions but Ely levelled and then took the lead thanks to goals from Luke Hayes and Cameron Robb. Ely lost their way during the second half, gifting the home team two goals. Dan Jones scored in the final minutes to put Ely through to the next round.
