TOP of the table Newmarket Town's unbeaten home record came to an abrupt end as Haddenham Rovers Colts recorded a fine victory in a hard fought encounter. Both teams played some great passing football with Newmarket pushing forward and Haddenham looking dangerous on the counter attack. The opening goal came on seven minutes through Rovers captain Alex Lowe. Haddenham began to control the midfield and 10 minutes later increased their lead when Tyrell Barrett scored. Newmarket fought back hard but Elliot Littlefield in the Rovers goal showed some sound handling and Theo Hall in central defence gave a commanding performance. Haddenham then stunned the home team with a third goal.
Newmarket pushed hard to reduce the arrears and with 20 minutes remaining pulled a goal back. The game was finally put beyond Newmarket's reach six minutes from time when Lowes scored Haddenham's fourth.
