Two nine-year-old King's Junior School pupils proudly display their Tae Kwon Do trophies - and no wonder they are smiling for James Walton, left, and Christopher Le have just returned triumphant from the British Championships in Coventry.
James, a red belt, won first place in the individual sparring peewee class for youngsters up to 4ft 6in and Christopher, a black belt, was placed third in the individual sparring lightweight class for youngsters up to 5ft.
Christopher was awarded his black belt in October and was competing in that division for the first time. He put in a remarkable performance and lost in his semi-final by only one point to the boy who went on to win the event.
