THERE has been big transfer news for Mildenhall and Soham over the last few days.

Mildenhall boss Trevor Munns has signed last season's Ridgeons Premier Division top-scorer Liam Harrold and veteran goalkeeper Dean Greygoose has left Soham and signed for Ryman First Division side Bury Town.

Harrold netted 35 league goals from 38 starts and six substitute appearances for Wisbech Town last season, and joins the Ridgeons Premier Division leaders after a short spell with AFC Sudbury of the Ryman First Division.

Munns commented: "I'm delighted to have signed Liam. He is a proven goal-scorer and I'm sure he will fit in well here."

Greygoose was one of current Soham manager Ian Benjamin's first signings when he joined the Green's at the beginning of last season.

The 41-year-old went on to make 82 appearances in the Soham goal, and he received the Players' Player of the year award at the end of last season.

Benjamin said: "Dean is one of the best signings I've made for Soham, he's a top quality goalkeeper and has tremendous enthusiasm. He's become a bit frustrated recently and I think he's been eyeing a move for a while. I wish Dean the best of luck and thank him for his service to the club.
