Chatteris Town 2

Stretham Sporting 2

BOTH teams went out to win this game and it was Chatteris who opened the scoring in the first half.

But Sporting hit back in the second half and Lance Brown levelled the scores after a good team move.

Fine defending from Jack Robinson and Dean Crockel and excellent goalkeeping by Ryan Eaton kept Chatteris out until the home team scored a second.

Sporting pressed forward and their pressure finally told when Alfie Oakman scored a superb equaliser. Elliot Ward produced an excellent performance in midfield.

Ely Crusaders 5 Needingworth 0

CRUSADERS won the Division B title in their last game of the season to send retiring manager Phil Angier out on a high note.

It was a crucial match for both sides as Crusaders needed to win to take the title and only three points would keep struggling Needingworth in the division.

The scoring was opened by Alfa Balde, who fired home a penalty in the opening minutes and Ely showed their resilience to take control of the game in the second half.

Balde scored his second, Cameron Robb grabbed a brace and Ryan Lowe found the net to complete the scoring.

Ely Crusaders finished the season with 100 league goals and the best defensive record in the league. They lost only one league game all season and reached the semi-finals and quarter-finals of two cup competitions.
