ELY 1 had an uproarious weekend with a 61-23 victory over Hampton.
The home side's pace was relentless with a goal being scored on average every 43 seconds. Shooters Katie Child and Jenny Tovey were on fire with excellent service from the rest of the squad.
ELY 2 meanwhile finished off the 2099 in style with a hard-fough 28-33 win at Over. Ely's attacking pair of Jennie Wallace and Debbie Knott kept the play flowing and with some fine finishing by Janice Quarrier and Sally Shipley, Ely had a five goal lead at half time. Over came out fighting in the second half but excellent defending by Alison Crombie, Victoria Cutforth and Celeste Gordon frustrated Over's game plan enabling Ely to steal an emphatic victory 33-28.
