ELY Tigers 3 bounced back from last week's defeat to St Neots with a rousing 31-17 win over Newmarket.
A number of players returning from injury allowed Captain Ben Brownlie a more complete squad for the short trip to their rivals, and the returning players immediately lifted the side as three first half tries put Ely 21-0 ahead at half time.
A nervous start to the second half saw Newmarket pull two tries back but Ely held firm and ran over two more tries to seal a comfortable win.
