IN league competition, Comrades 1 boosted their Division 1 points tally by thrashing Impington 2 10-0.
Mirek Pazdzior and Kevin Gray won three each without exerting themselves too much and Mark Lillyman helped out with his own, rather harder earned, maximum.
Haddenham 1 continued their high-scoring run with a 9-1 win over Fulbourn 1.
Liam and Kieran Mohan achieved maximums, Patrick losing out to Marc Meunier after being 2-0 ahead.
Match of the night was Kieran’s win 11-9 in the fifth against Peters Zivtins where Peters’ loops were met with blocks and smashes making a great game to watch.

FOLLOWING their quarter-final win over Ellesmere, Fulbourn 2 completed another demolition job disposing of Haddenham 2.
Marc Meunier and Ju Young scored two wins each, as they made light of the handicap deficit against Jake Rutterford and Emile Cole. Jim Reary chipped in with a win against Hugo Brown.

TWO-man Impington were quickly 4-0 down in the match when Alan Chambers beat Howard Morley.
Bob Pettit overcame a five point handicap to beat Mark Lillyman 31-29 in the decider, briefly giving Impington hope. But Comrades’ Kevin Gray despatched Howard 51-36 in the single-end game and that was that.

MICHAEL Boniface won his three matches against Kin Choi Chan, Rob Wallis and Bela Szabo, but the Gazeley trio were too strong for Matt Gunton and Samir Chitnavis.
With the match won, Rob tested Samir’s resolve, who promptly responded by playing his shots and enjoying a win.

MELISSA Rule showed the way for Comrades with three wins.
But valiantly though Janet Nicholls and Andy Manning tried, that was all the reward they managed in the face of firm resistance from Tim and Ali Hands and some cavalier hitting by Harris Ryder.
Though nearly all the matches were best of five, only one went the distance when Ali beat Andy 31-28 in the fifth.
In the semi-finals, Impington 2 entertain Fulbourn 3, while Gazeley 1 travel to Fulbourn 5. The Final is at Haddenham on Tuesday, April 12.

HAMISH and Harris Ryder have been joined by Michael Boniface in this competition.
Three wins for Harris were the backbone of the Fulbourn win, backed up by two from Hamish, including a very close affair in the opener against Ben Brown, Hamish winning 17-21, 22-20, 22-20. Ben, off a five point advantage, later capped a good display with a win in three over Michael.

DESPITE two wins out of two from Tony Wilkinson, Comrades progressed thanks to two wins each from Colin Gannon, Martyn Hagon and Syd Rushton.
