THE programme was disrupted by yet more rain, and games that were played on fewer ends produced some unexpected results. Soham A managed to stay on top despite going down to City of Ely who had earlier beaten Bottisham. Ely Beet B also had a good week and have not lost since May, reaching second place in the table.

Ladies' League

THE lead continues to alternate between two clubs who have opened up a 10 point gap. Playing twice, Isleham edged ahead on a better shot difference and have a game in hand over Fordham. Littleport were not in action and have games to make up while Soham A had two narrow victories to jump in front of the B team.

Afternoon League Division One

SOHAM were held to a draw by Mitchell Lodge but retain their lead, the new runners-up being Bottisham A, winners at Chippenham. Littleport B were beaten by the A side but stay ahead of them in third position. Bottisham A also beat Chippenham in the Gordon Bridges Cup and will now travel to Soham in the semi final, with holders City of Ely away to Newmarket A.

Afternoon League Division Two

FORDHAM B reached the midway point of the season with their first defeat at Newmarket, but with the A team overcoming Sutton, they still have a comfortable cushion. Sutton and Milton both had easy wins to set up a Frank Turner Cup semi final, while Mildenhall await the outcome of Isleham vs Newmarket B to find out who they will play.
