DIVISION 4A

WICKEN Maids Head recorded an 8-5 victory at Carlton Arms, thanks to goals from Liam Eley (3), Jamie Palmer (3), Steve Lambert and Johnny Gammon.

VB TROPHIES LEAGUE CUP SECOND ROUND

QPR Ely won 4-1 on penalties after a poor display against Haslingfield Sunday.

They led 3-0 after 45 minutes, but were forced into extra-time and then had to come from behind to make it 5-5 before Scott Insall's three penalty saves won it.

Colin Coulson (3), James Salmons and Dean Salmons were the players on target during normal and extra-time.

Triple-S also shared 10 goals as they came through in a second successive cup meeting at Barnwell Rangers.

Lee Moll (2), Ben Fuller and Martin Corbett saw Triple-S's lead cancelled out three times in an eight-goal first half, and their prospects looked bleak when Lee Moll's hamstring injury left them with 10 men.

Corbett put them 5-4 ahead however, and Fuller wrapped things up with a sixth goal in the closing stages.

Wilburton Albion progressed 3-1 at Lakenheath Eagles with a second-half hat-trick from Will Ludbrooke, and Ely Park Rangers won 7-1 at Eversdens with goals from Andrew Francis (2), Andrew Lee (2), Gareth Arter (2) and substitute Rob Parker.

Village Inn also made it easily despite trailing 1-0 at the half-way stage in the home tie with Little Downham United.

The second half was a virtual landslide, with Mark Heading (3), Jonathan Chase (2), Tom Parrish, Richard Scarrow, Michael Ward and an own goal making it 9-1.

LTFC 1906 are through as well, but didn't have to play owing to the withdrawal of Royston-based White Bear.
