Foresters struck the first blow, but goals from Richie Murfitt and Matt Brodie (penalty) put Ely 2-1 ahead.
The visitors again got back on level terms, but second half goals from Murfitt, Danny Mitchell, Ben Cross and Darren Brodie meant that Rangers were able to claim maximum points.
West End House were also in action against high-flying 4A opponents Newmarket Albion Reserves, and a great effort from Jamie Linney proved to be the only goal of the match.
