East Cambs children have enjoyed a summer of tennis coaching

ELY Tennis Club has been serving up a variety of training camps throughout the summer holidays at their Downham Road base for children of all ages and abilities.

“Our most popular has been the mornings,” said joint head coach Sebastien Scaux.

“Children of all levels and abilities practice & play ‘points’ to develop their skills.

“Use of different court sizes, with smaller nets and softer balls, allow the coaches to match players appropriately so they can be challenged in different competitive formats.

“It has been fantastic fun and the children have responded very well.

“With the end of the summer holidays, we are now going back to our full year program, with coaching for the children on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and various coaching for adults throughout the week” said Sebastien

The Junior membership cost is £50 until March/April and includes six sessions free.

Anyone interested can take a look at the website or contact Sebastien on 078091 117689. Equipment is provided and no previous tennis experience is necessary.
