STEVE Presland secured his second successive time trial victory at Ely and District Cycling Club's 25-mile event last Tuesday.
Twenty-five miles is widely regarded as one of the toughest time trial distances to master with riders trying to average 25mph.
Presland pushed his body to the limit to finish just 41 seconds away from the golden hour.
Riders were given an added challenge with a strong easterly breeze across the course from Witchford to Chatteris.
Geoff Brewster came in swiftly on Presland's heels in 1:02:19 and Tom Sykes finished third in 1:04:28.
Colin and Celia Whitechurch were the only tandem team to complete the course, in 1:04:02, and Philip Peacock won the 10 mile race, in 25.33.
