THERE was encouraging results for two local boxers in the latest round of the NACYP Championships.
All Comers boxer Alfie Smith and Haddenham ABC's Tyler Goodjohn both booked places in the next round of the national tournament with respective victories.
Smith came through a bruising encounter with Hailsham ABC fighter Jamie Smith, 13-7 in the under-63kg category. Haddenham's Goodjohn meanwhile scored a comfortable 11-1 win over Adur ABC's Ben Butler in the under-71kg category.
