MEPAL maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a battling performance against a skilful side.

Sports went 2-0 down but dug deep. George Rayner's fine finish from an acute angle made it 2-1 and Jacob Waters equalised after a trademark mazy run.

James Knox marshalled the home side's defence magnificently with Joe-Joe Corlito also in fine form.

The introduction of Serifo Balde was to prove decisive.

Sports' powerful new midfielder converted Harrison Jones' cross to give the hosts the lead and Jones completed the scoring after a counter attack late on.

CRUSADERS shared the goals among seven players and were five ahead after 15 minutes.

George Leech opened the scoring, followed by Alex Brown, Lewis Hook, Jake Butler and Edward Frodsham.

Littleport scored near half-time and Sam Scarborough added Ely's sixth. Jay Spittles scored the only goal in the second half.

GOING down a goal in the first quarter by a Ronan Kerr strike spurred Haddenham on to equalise through Matthew Wright.

Josh Lowe then scored to give the visitors a 2-1 lead and the next three Haddenham goals were scored by Matthew Beary, Will Darlington and man of the match Wright.

WITCHFORD took an early lead with two goals by Nathan Francis.

They continued to score in the second period with two more from Matthew Loades.

Little Downham came back with one goal and a great save by Nathan Parker prevented Downham making it two. Witchford's Man of the Match was George Smith.

ALISTAIR Hutchison scored Soham's first, followed by one for Sam Hewitt.

The second half began with two goals for Jordan Turpin, one for Conan Isaacson and then Travis Isaacson.

The goals continued for Soham with another for Travis and one for Ross Davey. Conan completed his hat-trick and another from Ross to finished the scoring.

BOTH teams fought desperately for a result, but on this occasion it was Soham's turn to take the points.

United took the lead when Reece Peacock rounded the goalkeeper and calmly finished but Witchford quickly equalised.

Colts then made the mistake of giving Alex Theobold space in the box and his low, hard shot put Soham 2-1 up.

Witchford levelled early in the second half, but a great run and finish from Theobold secured the win.

Brampton Spartans 2

GOALS by Tom Wakefield and Harlee Cater gave 'Port a commanding lead but an injury to left back Tommy Faulkner allowed Brampton to score two quick goals to draw level.

Thomas Green restored Town's lead before half-time and Cater's second sealed victory.

LUKE Webster-Sterry opened the scoring for Soham.

Bluntisham equalised soon after which left the half-time score 1-1.

Ten minutes into the second half Jordan Masterson scored a penalty for Soham.

Good pressure from the Colts led to two more goals from Bill Francis and Benji Webster-Ward.

MILTON scored their first just before half-time, after pressurising Isleham's keeper, Jack Leigh.

Milton defended well in the second half and increased their lead with a good strike from the edge of the box.

LITTLEPORT took the lead through Joseph Murfitt.

A Nico Bishop brace made it 3-0 in a one-sided first half.

In the second, Carl Lightfoot got on the scoresheet and Bishop made it five with a shot from just inside the box.

Bottisham came back and scored three goals in five minutes.
