SOHAM under-15s cricket team rounded off an excellent season by winning the county cup and reaching national finals in June. The boys, captained by Rhys Desborough, beat both King's School Ely and the Leys en route to the final.
"It was a big achievement," said their coach Adam Kendall. "and a pleasant surprise to beat two of the best teams in the county. They have excellent facilities - we have to play matches at the Paradise Centre in Ely because we don't have a grass wicket here."
The team was narrowly beaten in the national finals by Loughborough at the Paradise Centre in June.
