Ely Crusaders 4 Soham Utd 3

CRUSADERS secured a gritty win, away to Soham B, in their final fixture of the season.

Soham opened the scoring, then added a second, as they dominated the first 20 minutes, with Crusaders struggling to find any of the cohesion they have displayed in recent games. Eventually an Ely fightback started as Lewis Hook's explosive run and finish, from a tight angle, brought them back into the match. Then, moments later, he fired home a penalty to make it 2 -2 at the interval.

Soham scored early in the second half, but Crusaders' Hook responded immediately with his fourth hat-trick of the campaign. The winner came from James Barrett's right foot and Crusaders ended the season on a high.

Azteks Juniors 0 Soham Town Colts 1

SOHAM Town Colts completed an excellent season by winning the Under 11s cup final at Cambridge City.

Soham took the lead when they won a free kick on the edge of the box and Jordan Turpin struck the dead ball through the wall and into the net.

The second half was tense and the match could have gone either way but in the end remained goalless. Connor Cotterill was excellent in goal for Soham, making a series of stops including a brilliant finger tip save. Azteks never gave up and continued to press the Soham goal and take the match it into extra time but the Colts were resilient and held strong until the final whistle signalled the start of Soham's celebration.
