CARPET BOWLS: Livewires are champions again after dramatic finish to the summer league season

Livewires retained their Soham Ross Peers Carpet Bowls Summer League title – following a thrilling conclusion to the season.

They finished level on 12 points with Witcham and Swifts after the final round of matches, but prevailed by virtue of a greater shot difference.

The Livewires team of David Long, Margaret Long, Carole Reeve and Bill Reeve were presented with their trophies by Claire Norton from Ross Peers Sports Centre.

Carpet bowls drives are now behind held on Wednesdays (7.30pm) start with new players always made welcome.
